Divvent

Your application's settings

What each tab of Settings is for, and the General tab — the application's language, currency and time zone, and whether Divvent may keep what you type.

Settings is where the less frequent configuration of an application lives. Open an application, then choose Settings in the menu. It opens on the General tab.

The tabs

You only see the tabs your role may open.

General

The top of the tab lists the application's Name, Short name (the name in its web addresses), Language, Money and Time. You chose these when you made the application. See Create your first application.

Change the language, currency or time zone

These can't be changed with a switch on this page. Changing one changes how every date and every amount in the application is read, so it is a change like any other:

  1. Open Changes.
  2. Say what should be different, for example: "Our prices should be in euros from now on" or "We've moved to Dublin; use Irish time."
  3. Read the change that comes back, and approve it.

It goes live when you release the version it makes. See Ask for a change and Release a version.

The web address name can't be changed.

Helping us improve the AI

This asks whether Divvent may keep what you type into this application's Changes box, to make its suggestions better. The page shows the exact words you agree to:

Platform updates: rehearsing on your live data

This part only appears if one of your company's applications holds information about children or health, or is on a regulated profile. It is one answer for the whole company.

Before a platform update reaches your live application, Divvent rehearses it on made-up data. With your agreement, the rehearsal also tries the update's database changes on a sealed copy of your live data, which is deleted a few minutes later. The page shows the full wording, and an owner chooses Allow a sealed copy of our live data or Use made-up data only. Until an owner answers, updates are rehearsed on made-up data only. You can change the answer at any time. See Platform updates.
